I love his moral clarity and that he does not waiver. He’s true, not new to this. He is an ordained minister. I love that he does not bend and does not appear to be faltering. He also provides fun and passing book recommendations, like the professor he is. A lot of Jason Stanley, Fascism books, but “American Fascists” by Chris Hedges is the book you need to read. He went undercover, in 2006, infultrating the same Christian Right, that is our government today. He is compassionate, smart (he has read & reflected on what he read) and is not corrupted. Chris Hedges belongs in the mainstream media space, a much better Charlie Rose. They forbidden conversations Mr. Hedges keeps upfront. He’s not a neoliberal, I ♡ Marx or DSA shill either and he lets his guests talk AND he asks specific questions. I like that unlike those in the mainstream media Mr. Hedges has actually read the guedt’s work.The first chapter of Empire of Illusion is so timely and a profound assessment of what we are and have become as a society.
